"At the Damoncles Gulf Crusade, members of the Earth caste noticed that the Imperial Guard used different heavy weapons to give their infantry some mobile fire support. After a few battles they discovered that the Broadside XV88 wasn't mobile enough to support the Fire warriors. After some field-testing, two Fire warriors armed with a heavy weapon commonly mounted on a battlesuit seemed just right, the Support weapon team was born"

Additional Rules

Team: The team consists of 1-3 Support Weapons.
Unit Type: Infantry
Equipment: Stealth field generator. The team must take one of the (modified) weapons listed below.
Options: They may take any of the following support systems:
Blacksun filter 3 pts, Targeting array 10 pts, Target lock 5pts.
Special Rules: Cover. The crew of the Support weapon has been especially trained to use cover to hide themselves and their weapon. This gives them a +1 bonus when taking cover saves.
