"Some Shas'ui and Shas'vre prefer to fight hand to hand against the enemies of the Tau. They wear the XV20 Assault Battlesuit, one of the most recent developments of the Earth Caste. But the XV20 trades firepower for close combat capabilities, so only the most corageous commanders use them."

This unit was created to reinforce the Close Combat capabilities of the Tau on the battlefield. It takes an Elite choice.

Additional Rules

Team: A team consist of 1-3 Shas'ui
Unit Type: Jump Infantry (jet pack)
Equipment: Each team member is equipped with a XV20, a pulse blade, a shield generator and must select 1 battlesuit weapon system.
Character: One Shas'ui per team may be designated as a team Leader at +5pts, and may select items from the Battlesuit Wargear list. A Shas'ui team leader may be upgraded to a Shas'vre for an additional +5pts, giving him access to Special Issue Wargear.

Special Rules

The XV20 Battlesuit grants them the Acute Senses and Deep Strike special rules.

Pulse Blade
A pulse blade is a blade with a modified pulse round to generate enough energy to tear apart armor"
The attacks with Pulse Blade ignores +3 saves.
The model rolls 2D6 when penetrating armor.
