We rolled for first Turn and I got a 6 he got a 4 so I went first.

Blood Angles Turn 1

The overcharged engine installed into my predator failed to start so the Predator could move only 6". My Land-speeder moved forward its 12". Then the Death Company rolled a 4 so they moved forward 16". My Chaplain along with them. My Tactical Marines all fired their Bolters at the Genestealers causing 2 beasts to die. My Death Company charged into combat with the Broodlord requesting a solo duel with the Broodlord and the Chaplain. The Broodlord went first and caused my Chaplain to lose a wound. Time for payback. All 4 (+1 for charge) hit, had 1 wound left as well.

Tyranids Turn 1

Movement he charged everybody 6"forward, then in shooting phase his Venom Cannon shot at my Land-speeder. The Land-speeder got destroyed and the blast from the Cannon was so powerful that the speeder was wiped from the planets surface. In the few seconds when all the Death Company Turn ed around to see what happened the Genestealers had used Fleet of Claw and seemed much more threatening now they were closer. They were just a hairs length away from charging the surprised Death Company.

Blood Angles Turn 2

So movement the predator got an over charged engine and moved 18" towards the huge Carnifax. So my predator went 18" towards the Carnifax. The Space Marines meanwhile had been forgotten on that old building and to make them remembered they shot their bolters at the Genestealers causing 3 casualties to the Genestealers. The death Company surge forward into the Genestealers ranks! The Tyranids actions were fast and they swiftly killed 1 Death Company. They were angry. They come down full force on the Genestealers killing 6 beasts so that there is only 1 Tyranid left. Then the Broodlord lashes out at the Chaplain but not killing him. The Chaplain is taken aback and lashes back a bit surprised this causes him not to even hit the Beast!

Tyranids Turn 2

The Carnifax charged forward 6". He shot at my predator destroying a weapon which unlucky for me was the Assault canon. Back to combat. The Genestealer hit and killed one of the Death Company. So they hit it back but it survived! It won combat but because the Death Company is fearless so they stayed there. The Broodlord hit but failed to wound the Chaplain. My Chaplain got the same result.

Blood Angles Turn 3

Nothing moved this Turn . Shooting my Predator and its Heavy Bolters on the Carnifax and caused it to be lowered down to one wound! My Bolters Fired 8 shots at the big beast. The Carnifax is dead! Back to Combat now. The Genestealer killed one more Death Company, but instead of running they got even angrier. They killed the beast almost instantly. My death Company all went 6" straight into the Broodlords Combat. The Broodlord killed 2 Death Company but then the Chaplain got very angry and strikes at the Beast with all his attacks hitting and killing the Broodlord! The Blood Angles win!

Blood Angles deaths (including the land-speeder) = 6 and a wound.

Tyranids deaths=14

For the exact amount of points the nid player used, he coulda taken a tyrant with 2 scything talons, wings, toxin sacs, bio-plasma, and WS adrenal glands

scar face, you seem to be the only person here who knows what they're talking about. Except for one thing. Blood angel squads could drop one in the OLD codex, but in the new one, you can bring another Death Co for every troop choice in your army. You don't lose one anymore. The broodlord definitely has to have a retinue, though. And, when, exactly, did the carnifex lose all of its wounds? From 8 bolters, plus one heavy bolter? Hmmmm... The nid list sucked hardcore too. For 600, you coulda brought 2 fex's with twin-linked barbed and senses, flying warrior hq or cheap-oh tyrant (flyrant, maybe?) and a buncha little-uns.

Carnifax is spelt carnifex, plastic/metal models do not get angry, cannot have 4 SM in squad and broodlord MUST have retinue- bringing you to only 1 troop choice.

Yeah I just noticed the \'reduced to four\' bit, a tactical squad must have a sergeant and 4-9 Space Marines, so that\'s 5 minimum. =/

Apart from the \'Angles\' and \'Carnifax\' was a good battle report, but the tyranids were always going to be easy enough, with their rubbish armour saves and all..

the nid list was bad because lightbulb made it so that he could beat it

Comment made by lightbulbhel on 05:21:53, 19 March 2007
technoman the tyranids were infact tyranids (mostly mine but they were tyranids) dont you remember the carnifax the "Pink Abomadation"

Comment made by lightbulbhel on 05:20:02, 19 March 2007
yes Blood Angels Tactical squads can become Death Company on a roll of 4+

Comment made by canderous on 07:34:27, 18 March 2007
Wait a sec dude, that seems like a pretty cheap battle on your part. The tyranid list wasn't really that great...only about 14 bodies? And when you say that you tac squads are "reduced to 4", can you even legally do that?

Comment made by technoman on 01:29:32, 16 March 2007
not bad but lightbulbhel told me that the 'tyranid' models were in fact more blood 'angles' model reping
