Shas\'ui 4 4 4 4 2 4 2(3)8 4 what is the point in that stat line for a extra 6 poins you a 1BS 2WS 1S 1T 1W 2(somehow)I 1(2)A 1LD why dont you give them power weapons

ALSO

Advanced Pulse Rifle: Has 36\" range, 5 strength and A.P 3

Pusle Whip

Range: 12\"

S: 8

A.P: 1

Type: Assault 5

that there can now kill termies in 12\" you move 6 shoot with these so called PULSE whips probly killing 1-2 then assulting them and probly winning the combat so sadly there is noe 0/10 so its only a 1/10 from me

1. Why does a Shas\'vre have less wounds than a Shas\'ui? 2. They are marines with a s5 ap3 weapon, a 5 invulnerable save, 2 wounds, and 3 attacks, for just one extra point. I smell Cheese. And I smell it bad.

Comment made by HardcoreFroth on 17:55:21, 9 October 2007
Good idea...bad rules.

They could win against a squad of marine vets.

Take the power down a notch and it would be great.

Comment made by munkey on 19:02:22, 8 February 2007
i'm sorry but c'mon these guys could go toe to toe with marine vet squads (and probably win too) this is insane. cool concept though

Comment made by Lonely Tau on 00:53:43, 23 December 2006
GAH!!! Fanboyish is the least I can say about this...
here is what you do: take a normal Fire Warrior squad, give them Shas'Ui stats (+2 points) and then +1 ballistic skill. Keep the weapons they have and voila! Insto-Veterans. if you want a squad leader type thing (or 'Vre) then you add one attack and leadership, and add 10 points to the model. Definately needs some re-working...

Comment made by Grogalmighty on 16:55:21, 19 December 2006
this is ridiculous, and totally ruins the whole point of the Tau army. I could see some of these stats in the kroot, but not with the tau. Not to mention, the Tau plasma rifle is too large for a normal Tau to carry.

Comment made by LordCalsius on 02:41:28, 19 December 2006
if space marine veterans get little or no stat changes from regular tactical marines, these guys shouldnt get an upgrade from fire warriors, except for the factthey are shas'ui. Space marine veterans have seen far more action than tau veterans as well, so if they dont get stas increases then neither should these guys.

Comment made by Core_Commander on 03:08:51, 14 December 2006
The only way any Tau can get a S/T upgrade is via a battlesuit, and additional Wounds can be bestowed on any Tau below 'el rank only by the largest battlesuits. Sorry, but such a killy unit doesn't make much sense, however many points would be demanded.

Comment made by Core_Commander on 03:05:03, 14 December 2006
Okay, maybe I was a bit too harsh-but with these stats, it does look like a joke. You know, what you propose is beyond a Tau physical capability and the scope of their technology. What we're talking here is more like the Incredible Hulk. We already have Fire Warrior veterans in the Codex... Shas'ui. Their stats are always same.

i guess ive kinda made a fool of myself here...

to make it fair ive gitta make a few changes to my article.

1) unit cost should be 35pts shas'ui- and 1 wound, no special combat ability (initiative)
and 50pts for shas'vre
2) for the extra armour you must pay 20 pts each.

3) the gun is heavy 3
rapid fire

im really sorry guys
(i guess i should check my work)!?

Comment made by Tony on 01:13:26, 14 December 2006
Assault 5 for a strength 8, AP1 monster gun? It's a bit ridiculous. I think you need to make it more realistic.

Comment made by Korill on 15:32:27, 13 December 2006
why do the shas'ui have more wounds than the shas'vre?

Comment made by Core_Commander on 15:18:10, 13 December 2006
It IS a joke, isn't it? For a bit over a Marine's price, you get a marine GOD. For three points more than a Fusion Blaster, you get basically the same gun - only shooting five times faster, and man-portable. In two words: "Get real". Sorry, but it's so lame it's not even funny.

Comment made by LordCalsius on 12:15:50, 13 December 2006
i fail to see how S and T 4 is justified on regular infantry. is the advanced pulse rifle still rapid fire? something that powerful should really be heavy 1. I also fail to see the justification for such high WS and I. As has already been said, points are way too cheap, and 5 points for the huge increase in protection is too small in my opinion.

Comment made by Daemon on 11:29:45, 13 December 2006
Sorry ... but don't you think 16 points is a little bit too cheap for that monsters?
And what do you mean with that I 3(9)?
If I were your opponent I wouldn't allow you to use these in a battle.

Sorry for my bad englisch but I'm from Germany.
