This is just a quick painting tutorial for how to Kroot Hounds. This follows on from my painting tutorial on how to paint Kroot Carnivores. The colour scheme for my kroot is blue skin and red for their quills. Firstly, as always, I undercoated the hound using a black undercoat. I began by painting the skin of the kroot regal blue:

The next two stages are simply to build up the skin colour. To do this I firstly drybrushed the skin using enchanted blue:

Now that the skin was complete, I painted everything apart from items the kroot is carrying with blood red. This includes its eyes, quills and the strap around it. For a bit of variation I then painted the underside of the hound with blazing orange. I didn't paint this orange straight off because it would have required a few coats of orange before the black undercoat wouldn't have shown anymore (and so I painted it red first - this only required one coat of blazing orange then).

Sorry for the unclear photo next, I couldnt't seem to get a clearer shot. Snakebite leather was used for the items that the kroot was carrying. On other hound models you may need to use boltgun metal for some metal items (like hooks) and skull white (for the bones). Quite a few of these items are small, so I kept a pot of blood red close to touch up any mistakes that went onto the carrying strap.

That's pretty much all finished now. Just the basing of the model to do. For my bases I always paint the base snot green, but the rim of the base with dark angels green. Although I go onto flock the base, the snot green has been used to make sure that if I miss a bit it won't show up as easily.

To finish I flocked the base using modelling flock. After the PVA glue had dried, I applied two small spots of PVA glue onto the flock and then put static grass onto those spots. After shaking off any excess grass, I gently blew the grass so it was facing upwards (and not lying flat as it sometimes does).
