Tel'Oshi was once a powerful Shas Sept, renowned for its Firewarriors. It was a relatively remote colony, found at the extreme galactic south of the Empire. However, the world was ravaged when the Tau Empire discovered the true horror of the Tyranids.
Countless Firewarriors died fighting the beasts, desperately trying to save the other Castes and buy them time to escape. When the capital city was lost, along with the Shas'Ar'Tol command centre and Aun Council, the Cadres that remained prepared to sell their lives dearly.
Fortunately, salvation came. A Tau battlefleet entered the system, and drove off the Hive Fleets in a short, but brutal, fleet engagement. The ground war waged on, but without their Norn Queens, the Tyranids had lost the co-ordination and unity of the Hive Mind, and were eradicated.
Yet it was still not over. The survivors were called away again to war, and forced to face the Tyranid horror again. This time, they put what they had seen and learned to good use, guiding their allies and inflicting terrible harm on the Tyranids. It quickly became clear that the Tyranid threat was increasing, and that it was the Tel'Oshi Sept that was best trained to fight them.
Though now relatively few in number, these veterans train their companions, and hardened battle-cadres march to turn the tide wherever the Tyranid menace emerges.
The units below may be taken for a normal Tau army. They both count as Elite choices.

As well as being a great leader in battle, her skills off field are also valued; her theories on the "disruption" encountered by Tau fleets near Tyranid-attacked systems, and the "Hive Mind" phenomena are both the subject of constant discussion and debate amongst Shas generals and the Water Caste alike.
