Sensing a shift in the battle, Mueleck forced his mount forward, each step of his armoured leviathan over stepping hundreds of his own brethren that were fighting on foot. The lithe Eldar Titan slipped between the tall buildings of his foe, the cityscape masking his advance towards his prey.
Reaching out for Traeleck, his brother, over the spirit ways that connected the two Eldar Revenant Titans and as he finally made contact, he knew what the shift in the battle was. Two more Imperial Titans had joined battle with his brother. Lighter then the Warlord his brother had been sent to engage in the southern sector of the Imperial city, these new hostiles were agile for Imperial Battle Titans.
Casting his mind still further, he made contact with the Titan within which Traeleck rode within. With his position firmly fixed in his mind, he picked up the pace and goaded his Titan through the streets onward.
Rounding the corner, he saw flashes of laser energy, Imperial in origin, and as he joined the fray, his pulsars lanced up the street with blinding speed, he pushed his mind out to his brother once again. 'Status' flashed through Traeleck's mind, 'Titan damaged, the spirits within are angered and are not willing to give up just yet!' Traeleck's voice was loud, yet distant. He knew that he was badly hurt from the Imperial battery. He always knew that his arrogance and stubbornness would get him killed eventually.
'Pull back Traeleck!' ordered Mueleck, a faint shimmer of sadness cracking through his ghost voice. "We can destoy them!" This time Traeleck's voice was even more distant.
"I am the eldest! Follow my orders Traeleck! Your Revenant is just about to be destroyed!" An instant later, a flash of explosions tore across Traeleck's Revenant. For a full moment, Mueleck's heart wept, "It'll take a little more then that to silence me! Damned mon-keigh" screamed Traeleck as his Revenant darted forward again. "Last chance! Traeleck! Seek shelter now!"
"Their shields are down, I must finish them now!"
Breaking the mind link, Mueleck drew a bead upon his brother's leg and fired. A tear flashed down Mueleck's check as he watched his brother's Titan flounder, then topple forwards. 'I only hope you can forgive me, brother' thought Mueleck...
