Tarellian Weapons

After faking his own death in the infamous assassination attempt on Es'tau Commander O'Var made for the Damocles gulf to meet up with his mentor the breakaway leader O'Shovah. O'Var had served under the legendary O'Shovah early in his career and adopted many of his ideals and strategies.

Upon discovering that he was under investigation by the ethereal caste for his uncompromising battle strategy and the aggressive crusade he was about to launch into imperial controlled space he decided it was time to throw of the oppressive yoke of the ruler caste and follow the example of his hero and mentor.

O'Var employs very aggressive tactics but finds it difficult to pin the enemy in place for his forces to work to full effect as a result more and more alien mercenaries are being recruited into O'Vars army to allow his force to attack at will whilst the enemy are engaged by his hired swords.

O'Var is particularly intent on conquering human worlds as he views them as a plague on the galaxy. Only after joining O'Shovah did he discover the true scale of the human empire and the degree of their xenophobia, realising thatTtau and humans can never truly exist he attacks human settlements with no mercy, no offers of surrender and a brutality comparable to the Imperium itself.

One alien race has particularly caught the eye of O'Var, the Tarellians. The Tarellians have a hatred for humans even deeper than O'Var himself, due to the Imperium virus bombing many of their worlds during the great crusade. The bitter resentment towards humans has not died in the Tarellians and O'Var has no difficulty in persuading these bitter aliens to help fight in his war against mankind.

Rapid Response The actual tau elements of O'Vars force is very mobile, every unit marked * must be mounted in a devilfish troop carrier. Piranha Squadron As O'Var is a late addition to the enclave he has some of the newest tau advancements at his disposal, 1 Piranha Squadron may be taken. Preferred Weapon O'var is brilliantly schooled with the use of burst cannons and as such he trains his XV8 teams in the use of them. Every XV8 suit must be equipped with a burst cannon.

Special Character: O'Var [Commander BrightSword]

Leader of the BrightSword enclave O'Var is a very extravert commander that likes to work closely with his warriors, this inspires loyalty and promising XV8 pilots are inducted into the BrightSword honour guard. O'Var is also extremely adept with the burst cannon and has had his own upgraded extensively.

Equipment O'Var is equipped with a Burst cannon, Missile Pod, Shield Generator, Hard-wired target lock and a Hard-wired multi tracker

Special Rules

Hyper-velocity Burst Cannon: O'Var has extensively upgraded his Burst Cannon. O'Var's Burst Cannon has the rending ability. Honour Guard O'Var can be accompanied by his honour guard. The honour guard follow the rules for the XV8 battlesuit bodyguard team with the following exceptions.

Tarellians: Dog-Soldiers

Tarellians are narrow-waisted, broad shouldered aliens that are slightly shorter than most humans, with long canine-like faces, which is where they got the name dog-soldiers.

Some of their worlds were virus bombed by humans during the great crusade and they still hold a bitter resentment towards mankind.

The Tarellians have not been conquered by the Tau but are often found fighting as mercenaries in their armies particularly when the war is against humans.

Bore weapons

Bore weapons are very similar in design to the imperial stub and autogun using a chemical stimulant to propel a solid round. Bore weapons have superior powers of penetration compared to their imperial equivalents due to the round being made from an extremely hard compound that baffles mechanicus engineers as Tarellians are in most respects marginally less technologically advanced than humans.

A unique aerodynamic feature of this compound also increases the rounds amour penetration. The actual hitting power of these weapons is still equal to that of the imperial autogun. Most bore weapons have a distinctive staccato bark

Bore-cannon
