The warlord titan had run 3 minutes ahead of its support, and guardsman Joe Hill thanked the emperor for that, if the monster had gotten the imperial battle lines, with the main forces it would have been impossible to destroy. He was crouching in his trench, preying to the emperor, as shells the size of a space marine rained down on him the cliffs off to the side of the miles long trenches brought a see breeze which moments ago the guardsmen had been enjoying as the played cards. Then the gryphon VIII battery opened up, a cheer rose among the cowering guardsmen as shells rained down on the titan, cheers cut short when they began to bounce off the titan to now apparent effect. Only a single shell had an effect, it was jammed into the leg servos, causing the behemoth to limp, dragging his foot along, which made a gouge wide enough for the entire gryphon battery, placed side by side, to fit without touching either side.
The titan approached, and it seemed inevitable that it alone would destroy the imperial lines, with three shots it had taken out all the support structures and secondary trenches. Private Hill watched the beast come closer and closer, and then he saw a single terminator, from one of the Astartes chapters that had been supporting them. The brave veteran was standing in the path of the titan. It raised its assault cannon, and was promptly stepped on by the titan. The terminator rose suddenly mangled and torn the terminator raised it's miraculously undamaged assault cannon and opened fire. Bullets danced up the titan's leg, until it reached the damaged servo, with a huge groan that deafened Hill the entire leg fell off. Joe regained his hearing just in time to be deafened again by the collapsing titan. The terminator ran the head, and broke into the cockpit. The titan stopped trying to get up. The lone terminator left the cockpit just as the main chaos forces caught up; Joe watched as hordes of mutants grabbed the terminator and tossed him of the cliff into the ocean.
Joe was alone surrounded by minions of chaos, their leader, questioning him. Joe mouth was shut tight but he knows they would kill him soon. When suddenly he heard a grunting, turning towards the cliff face he saw the terminator dragging himself over the edge of the cliff. He must have been climbing it for the three days the battle had lasted. He ran towards a nearby predator, and with the super human strength granted to him by the tactical dreadnought armour he wore, ripped off its turret. He used as a club, until so many warriors had thrown them selves on it that he could barely move it, then he throw it out to sea. Pressing the firing stud on his assault cannon, the terminator tore through the crowd. Joe watched as hundreds of chaos warriors tossed themselves upon the raging terminator. As the mass slowly moved towards the cliff, Joe turned, and ran.
After the cleansing over a year later several research servitors found the decayed bodies of over a hundred chaos space marines, lay on a single terminator, who had entered an advanced sleep like state in order to survive the year, drawing only three breaths a month to fuel the brain.

| if terminator armour can stand a few million tons of metal stepping on it it can survive a 20 foot fall |

| Actually terminator's do have strong enough armour to survive getting stood on by a titan. I read it in a piece from GW. Don't know about the cliff though. Really good. |
