Thanks to Tau Online for this.
What you'll need:
![[Image] The basic shape of the ruins](http://www.tauonline.org/Articles/Misc_Scenery_RuinedBuilding_1.jpg)
Firstly I cut out the shape using a knife then I put 4 blobs of plastic glue on the side of the building to make it look more battle-scarred. (Plastic glue melts polysterene.) Make sure you don't use too much glue for the holes, or it will completely melt it.

The I covered the whole thing in PVA glue so that the ruin wouldn't melt when I sprayed it. I then sprayed it in black undercoat.

Finally I painted codex grey, Then I drybrushed it with fortress grey then black paint. I also left the holes in the side of the building as they were so that they stood out more.
